How this record works

We add an entry when a material correction, presentation change, or methodology revision reaches the public site and we can point at a corroborating commit or database metadata stamp. We do not backfill entries without that evidence. To report a possible error, include the page URL, the ratio or statement in question, and a culinary or food-science source via our data-corrections contact channel. Policy detail lives on the editorial & corrections page and in methodology § Corrections.

Published changes

  1. Added Content-Security-Policy and fleet-parity security headers

Live responses now emit CSP (frame-ancestors none) plus the Atlas peer security-header set when upstream omits them. This hardened the public surface; it did not change substitution ratios or scores.

  2. Guide pages gained per-guide verdict bands and DB-driven charts

Each published guide now opens with a SynthesisBand verdict and a unique chart built from live registry counts for that guide’s topic. Presentation of existing data, not a re-rating of swaps.

  3. Removed duplicate incomplete Article schema on guide pages

Guide pages previously emitted a second incomplete Article JSON-LD node alongside the complete one. The incomplete duplicate was removed so crawlers see a single coherent Article.

  4. Ingredient detail pages gained indexed-mass enrichment blocks

Ingredient profiles now surface additional corpus-backed context (pairing depth and related inventory) drawn from the same curated registry already powering the page.

    Example ingredient →

  5. Bound entity-detail SQL behind index-bounded caches

Similar-ingredient and density lookups moved onto additive cache tables (ETL stage applied 2026-09-02) so detail pages stay query-cost-bound. Public figures were not re-authored.

  6. Homepage AboutThisData trust band

The homepage now carries an AboutThisData band stating how the curated registry is sourced and where to report errors. Editorial framing only.

  7. Re-admitted rankings boards after the post-hold review

Rankings pages that had been held off the index surface were restored with the same registry-backed boards, after the hold criteria were re-checked.

  8. Ingredient desk posture: less chrome, more entity-specific desk

Ingredient detail layout cut shared ShareBar chrome and branched desk copy so pages read as ingredient-specific desks rather than cloned scaffolds. Ratios and scores unchanged.

  9. Kitchen Ratio Bench on ingredient and category pages

Ingredient and category profiles gained a Kitchen Ratio Bench summarizing documented ratio patterns for that entity’s pairings, computed from the live registry.
